چکیده

Background and PurposeMetallic hip prostheses cause substantial artefacts in both computed tomography (CT) magnetic resonance (MR) images used radiotherapy treatment planning (RTP) for prostate cancer patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the dose calculation accuracy a synthetic CT (sCT) generation workflow improvement implant visibility using metal artefact reduction sequences.Materials MethodsThe included 23 patients with who had prostheses, which 10 bilateral implants. An in-house protocol applied create sCT comparison. compared volumes resulting avoidance sectors against target volume (PTV) uniformity organs at risk (OAR) sparing.ResultsMedian PTV difference between CT-based among all 0.1 % (-0.4 – 0.4%) (median(range)). Bimodal magnetic resonance imaging-computed tomography nanoprobes: A Review

Bimodal imaging combines two imaging modalities in order to benefit from their advantages and compensate the limitations of each modality. This technique could accurately detect diseases for diagnostic purposes. Nanoparticles simultaneously offer diagnostic data via various imaging modalities owing to their unique properties. Moreover, bimodal nanoprobes could be incorporated into theranostic s...

Generating Synthetic Computed Tomography and Synthetic Magnetic Resonance (sMR: sT1w/sT2w) Images of the Brain Using Atlas-Based Method

Introduction: Nowadays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in combination with computed-tomography (CT) is increasingly being used in radiation therapy planning. MR and CT images are applied to determine the target volume and calculate dose distribution, respectively. Since the use of these two imaging modalities causes registration uncertainty and increases department w...

Imaging Cellular Proliferation in Prostate Cancer with Positron Emission Tomography

Prostate cancer remains a major public health problem worldwide. Imaging plays an important role in the assessment of disease at all its clinical phases, including staging, restaging after definitive therapy, evaluation of therapy response, and prognostication. Positron emission tomography with a number of biologically targeted radiotracers has been demonstrated to have potential diagnostic and...
